Everything you need to know about a day out at Cliffhanger with your family.
Fun for the entire family.
Anyone can climb, whatever their age.
Cliffhanger is a great experience for the family, as everyone's involved together. Parents are able to hold the ropes for their children, participating directly in the challenge and success on the wall. Once your kids are over 13 the roles can be reversed and you can take on the walls, with your child on the ropes below.

Save time on the day—create an account and sign our waiver online.
Under 18s will need to be signed up, and signed off by their parent or guardian.
What to bring
Active wear or comfortable clothes you and your children can move in!
At least two people.
Climbing shoes are required (but can be hired at the venue).
Climbers under 13 will not be able to belay (hold the ropes for others)—you will need another person 13 or over to hold the ropes for you.
No need to book
For small groups, you can come in anytime during opening hours (but at least 1.5 hours before close).
Group bookings are available for schools, scouts, birthday parties and corporate groups during or outside of operating hours.
When you arrive...
Check in
Our staff will welcome you and get your gear ready.
If you haven't already signed up and completed the safety waiver, you can do so at reception.
Complete an induction
Our instructors will take you through a safety briefing where you will learn everything you need to know for your visit.
Final tick
After your induction, you will be ready to go and have fun!
